What I did during the June Hols.....

I decided to carry out a whole list of constructive activities and not simply laze my days away drinking coffee and reading, so to date, I have:

- gone for two dental appointments ( The damage? A total of $105, not forgetting the $450 earlier in May for the extraction and surgery of my wisdom tooth)

- help with laundry and cleaning up the dusty areas in the house caused by the upgrading outside

-do yoga on alternate days, I am finally able to do the plough with one of my feet in the air and the other behind my head, if u can visualise...............

I still cannot do the head stand. Too terrified and I need my instructor by my side to get my legs up.

-went malacca to visit my gran and managed to finish reading a great book there. I strongly recommend "Madras on Rainy Days" by Samina Ali - A book about an American raised Indian girl Layla who returned to Hyderabab India to prepare for the arranged marriage, only to discover that her groom has a secret that will ruin their marriage......Layla's identity crisis reminded me of actor Takeshi Kaneshiro who reportedly has lived in the when he was young due to his Taiwanese/Japanese identity. That aside, the novel is a fascinating mix of detailed description of the opulent celebration of the wedding and the traditions and practices of the Indian Muslims in ..........

-watch and got addicted to " Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles" in Malacca as my cousins were watching the full set of VCDs. I fell in love with Mokona, a cute rabbit like character in the series. For those who have watched Ray Earth, this is the version of the same creature but with talking abilities. Kawaii !!! She reminded me of my Bobo. Enough said.

-watched spiderman three on VCD in Malacca.

- managed to catch "Shrek", Pirates of the Carribean 3" and"Born into Brothels" at the cinema.

Just as I thought "Born into Brothels" has ended its screening, I realised only Vivocity is screening it at 7.20pm every evening.

- yet to catch "Priceless" coz of the showtimes which were mostly at night
life

- Shop and bought 2 skirts, 2 tops and a dress................heeeeeeeeee My first yellow skirt since age 10! I was skeptical about getting it at first as yellow isn't exactly an easy colour to match. But I love the shade of yellow which falls in between canary and buttercup yellow. So it looks chic when teamed with a light cream top with green designs.

- got my Biotherm svelt cream finally....the auntie in me was gleefully calculating the savings made by buying the thing online instead of at the normal counter. Delivery was prompt and I got it like 2 days after I made payment.

- watch the full series of a Takeshi Kaneshiro drama "God Please give me more time" and wept over the touching scenes....Masaki is so kawaii and Takeshi is playing the cool guy role as usual and oh! What a smoker......he was literally puffing away in most of the scenes........

-Met up with 203 and Hamidah at last! I met up with them on separate occasions and realised how I missed these two ladies ........so glad to see them looking happy and good.....

-Planning to meet up with my primary school mates soon.

-attended a wedding dinner

-did my own manicure and pedicure (and got injured by nail cutter) yes, b4 I even blog about this I have only lamented my "accident" to a beady eye joker with a serious face who does not display any sympathy.... c'est tres triste!

-met up with my seafood gang for buffet session at Carousel. The ladies helped me pick out a lovely pair of earrings to go with my LBD for the dinner.

-clear out unwanted stuff in my room...Oh! Me, the garang guni of the family managed to throw out three bagfuls of items!!!

-met up with my financial planners ....bought another life policy insurance and "upgraded" another existing plan..... yay!

-received my exam results!!!! yayay! I did better than I thought in one of the modules.

-halfway through in sewing a rabbit soft toy and made three handphone charms- one pour moi and one each for two friends who have to go some bad patches in their life recently.

-met up for dinner with my weird weird senior Ah Leong who is on attachment at Prima near Vivocity. It was great catching up with him as I have not seen him for about half a year. Ah Leong had done some baking at the place and presented me with two freshly baked muffins. Will be putting up photos of his "creations" soon at my other blog.

It was good to see Ah Leong happy and healthy and ever crappy though he seem to have lost some weight because of his hectic life at Uni. His hair style is another issue though.....Bring back the old Ah Leong hair style!

- Rewatch the Japanese Anime version of Meteor Garden.....better than the drama version, anyday. I stayed up to 3am to watch as I have been losing sleep lately.......

Ok, I did not do any outta the world exciting activities but hey!!! These are the things I have been wanting to do since last December. I'm glad I didn't go overseas this time as I need to save up for the Japan trip next year and the Europe one that PH and I have to postpone till end of this year.

June hols and I'm down with sore throat and cough...send well wishes please!
I manage to watch Pirates of the Carribean and Shrek 3 in the first week of the hols!!!

Yes, it's an achievement as I have to give some good movies a miss because of my tight schedule earlier on. I miss Phantom of the Opera but managed to catch Midsummer Night Dream at Fort Canning on the last day of the term.

I managed to take a shot of the 4 ladies who were game enough for a picnic, complete with dinner from Macdonalds for the evening. Being the camera earthling for the day, I was not featured in the photo..........haiz

I like to look at the world from different perspectives and capture her at her best. Hence the blog address -the many faces of life
