Sports Day 2007........Boring, sad and yet hilarious
Yes, it was one of those days which I have mixed feelings about the events that happened. We had lunch at the cozy and comfortable Ayam Pennyet Restaurant at Marine Parade before dashing off to take a cab to the stadium.
Nice lunch. We ate and drank and talked till we forgot the time and therefore we were really rushing for time when we realised we had less than an hr to get there.
It was boring boring upset upset stadium as there was a downpour for a while. The events happening right in front of my eyes one row of seats away didn't take the gloom outta the situation.
I love the feel of the light rain, but it was like having a romantic dinner in a hawker centre.
203 dropped by with HH, so I had fun for a while until they left.
Had a chat with some hilarious jokers. Thank you for so much for cheering me up with your nonsensical chat. (If I ever give u the chance read this blog) At least u bring some life to the gloominess around my area. People around me were dropping dead on their seats.
I left the sweat filled place at 6 plus. After dragging an equally tired Surayah to the CC's restrooms, I got her to drop me off at Bedok MRT, leaving her to search for PIE so she could go to Eunos. (Sorry, but I failed Geog for 4 consecutive years and I seriously cannot read maps or give directions that sound remotely even like proper directions)
I decided on a mani and pedi session to pamper myself at the end of a busy crazy week.
I found myself seated at the couch of an artistcally decorated nail salon 10 mins later, admiring their classy furniture and layout. AGain, it was like a romantic classy private home smacked in the middle of old shophouses. (recall my romantic dinner statement)
The manicurist was amused by my curious assessment of the room, I began my session of pampering while watching a B grade Ghost movie on the Gecko spirit. The scenes were enough to ruin my appetite for a few days.
I was pleased with the results 2 hrs later.
I love the rose tinted nail colour on my fingernails and the dark brown on my toenails. The manicurists were accomodating and professional and did not utter any complaints though they have not had dinner at 9pm. Kudos to u ladies!!!!
A nice ending to the day, I thought as I dragged myself home.
